Zimbabwe
In early 2024, Emergency Project launched a mission to the Chimanimani region of Zimbabwe, near the southeastern border with Mozambique. This area, devastated by Cyclone Idai in 2019—the deadliest cyclone in the history of the Southern Hemisphere—has faced years of healthcare challenges. Our dedicated team of doctors and nurses traveled deep into the highlands to establish health clinics, providing life-saving care to underserved communities with limited to no access to health services. With a focus on addressing ongoing health disparities and empowering local providers, plans for a second mission to Zimbabwe are underway for the future.
