As Director of International Operations and a founding team member, Rafael has been instrumental in building the groundwork for missions that have brought life-saving care to thousands. With unmatched grit and leadership, he ventures deep into rural communities, forging strong relationships with local leaders and ensuring the flawless coordination of logistics, volunteers, and translator teams. When challenges arise, Rafael is the one who gets it done — with calm, precision, and unshakable resolve. He brings over 13 years of nonprofit experience as a local coordinator with Livedifferent, where he leads housing and development projects for underserved communities across the Dominican Republic. He also plays a vital role in Emergency Project’s media operations, overseeing production logistics, coordinating field teams, and facilitating on-site translation. Tireless, trusted, and deeply respected by all who work alongside him, Rafael is an essential pillar of every EP mission.
