In Pakistan, Emergency Project partners with IMANA to deliver critical healthcare to communities facing immense challenges in the aftermath of climate disasters, conflict, and systemic inequities. In the Swat Valley, near the foothills of the Himalayas and Afghanistan, we established a women and children’s clinic to address the urgent needs of a population deeply impacted by war, political and gender-based violence, and devastating floods. The 2022 floods, among the worst in human history, submerged one-third of the country, affecting 33 million people and leaving millions without access to basic healthcare.

During our missions, we combat infectious disease outbreaks, provide daily health clinics, and fill significant gaps in primary care services. Partnering with IMANA and Envision Health, we are not only addressing immediate needs but also empowering local providers to create sustainable change in a region often called the ‘frontline of climate change.’ With over 7,000 glaciers rapidly melting and record-breaking heat waves, our work in Pakistan continues to be a vital effort in the face of ongoing challenges.
