Emergency Project was honored to support IMANA’s first-ever surgical mission in rural Nepal, a region where inaccessible care has led to some of the worst health outcomes in the world. From June 4–10, 2024, a dedicated team introduced laparoscopic surgical capacity to an area that had never seen it before—offering life-changing procedures and a new hope for patients in need. Our volunteers provided logistical support to ensure the mission’s success, while EP volunteer Danielle Witkowski enhanced patient care by introducing Butterfly ultrasound for diagnostics and video laryngoscopy for airway management. We are proud to stand alongside IMANA in their commitment to expanding surgical access in underserved communities. For more information or interest in joining this mission, please go to www.imana.org.
