Dr. Jeffrey Kalczynski is a dedicated emergency physician and lieutenant in the United States Navy whose commitment to service and education has been pivotal to Emergency Project’s success. As Director of Medical Training, Dr. Kalczynski oversees the development of students and residents on missions, focusing on integrating point-of-care ultrasound to elevate clinical capabilities in underserved regions. His expertise was instrumental in establishing EP’s missions in the Middle East and Latin America, where his leadership in ultrasound education has left a lasting impact on both providers and communities.
Dr. Kalczynski’s life has been defined by service, beginning as a 911 EMS volunteer in New Jersey and continuing to his current role as a military physician. He is fellowship-trained in wilderness and austere medicine, further enhancing his ability to provide care and training in challenging environments. His skills and leadership have strengthened EP’s operations along the Haiti border in the Dominican Republic. In 2024, his contributions were recognized with the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the White House, honoring his critical role in Emergency Project’s mission to deliver life-saving care and education worldwide.
