With proud Brazilian roots and fluency in Spanish and Portuguese, Carla’s public health background and cultural insight fuel her commitment to supporting marginalized populations across Latin America. She has been pivotal in advancing Emergency Project’s work in the Dominican Republic, blending her clinical skills and operational leadership to expand access to care. As a founding member of Mayanza, an organization focused on aiding indigenous peoples in Guatemala, Carla exemplifies compassion, vision, and a lifelong dedication to meaningful change.
