Alexis Sweeney, NP Clinical Operations
Alexis is an ER nurse practitioner whose dedication to underserved communities has been pivotal in shaping EP’s mission. Her work with Life4Life, a nonprofit using powerlifting to empower communities in Africa, was instrumental in establishing EP’s healthcare initiatives in Zimbabwe, where she helped bring life-saving care to remote areas along the Mozambique border. She has also played a vital role in organizing EP’s impactful missions in Guatemala, combining her clinical expertise and operational leadership to address global health disparities. Starting her career as an EMT and now serving as a nurse practitioner at Jersey City Medical Center, Alexis is also pursuing a post-master’s degree in psychiatric mental health. Passionate about solo travel and embracing opportunities for self-discovery and adventure, Alexis brings a sense of curiosity and determination that drives her work. Known for her leadership, compassion, and drive, Alexis is a cornerstone of Emergency Project’s efforts to transform global health.
